REFUND POLICY
Transparency is important to me. Here's exactly how refunds work for all purchased services.
1. Full Refund — Before Work Begins
If you cancel before the project kickoff meeting (i.e., before I have started any work), you are entitled to a full 100% refund of any payments made. No questions asked.
2. Partial Refund — Within 48 Hours of Kickoff
If you cancel within 48 hours of the project kickoff meeting, you are eligible for a 50% refund of the total amount paid. This accounts for initial planning, research, and setup work already performed.
3. No Refund — After First Deliverable
Once the first deliverable or milestone has been shared with you (e.g., initial design, prototype, or code delivery), no refund is available. At this point, significant work has been completed and delivered.
4. Deposit Policy
For projects $500 and above, the 50% deposit becomes non-refundable once work has begun (after the kickoff meeting). However, if you need to reduce the project scope, the deposit will be applied proportionally to the reduced scope.
5. Fixed-Price Services
For fixed-price services (Consultation at $75/session, Bug Fixing at $150/hr), refunds are available only if the session or work has not yet begun. Once a consultation session has been conducted or bug fixing work has started, the fee is non-refundable.
6. Add-On Refunds
Add-on services (extra revisions, extra pages, DNS + Deployment, Priority Delivery) follow the same refund rules as the tier they were purchased with. If the add-on work has not yet been performed, it can be refunded. Once the add-on work has been delivered (e.g., an extra revision has been completed), the add-on fee is non-refundable.
7. Partial Delivery
If a project is cancelled after partial work has been completed but before the final deliverable, refund eligibility is determined proportionally. You will be charged for the percentage of work completed, and any remaining balance will be refunded. The assessment of work completed will be communicated transparently with supporting evidence (screenshots, commits, or staging previews).
8. Dispute Resolution
If you are unsatisfied with the delivered work, please reach out to me directly before requesting a refund or filing a dispute. I am committed to finding a fair resolution — whether that means additional revisions, scope adjustments, or a partial credit. Most issues can be resolved through open communication.
9. PayPal Disputes
PayPal allows buyers to open a dispute within 180 days of a transaction. I strongly encourage reaching out to me directly before opening a PayPal dispute — most issues can be resolved faster through direct communication. If a PayPal dispute is opened, I will respond with documentation of work completed and communication history.
10. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, email me at kbuendia.dev@gmail.com with your order details. Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days back to the original payment method via PayPal.
11. Changes to This Policy
I reserve the right to update this refund policy at any time. Changes will not affect projects or purchases made before the update date.
